DON'T MISS OUT!

RESERVE YOUR SPOT FOR 2010

2010 SEASON

We are continuing to compile a list of interested people for our 2010 CSA. We will be expanding our operation to accommodate additional boxes in 2010 and look forward to having more members. If you think you may be interested in joining our CSA for the 2010 season you may fill out the form below. Filling out the form does not obligate you to purchase a membership in 2010 nor does it ensure you a membership. It merely provides us with a list of interested people to contact later this spring when memberships become available. You can then decide when we contact you to purchase a membership or not.

ATTENTION CURRENT 2009 CSA MEMBERS

Preference will be given to existing customers for the 2010 season. Please contact us by March 15, 2010 to ensure your membership for the 2010 growing season. You should have already received a copy of this years application in the mail. If you are a returning customer and have not yet received this years application form please send us an email or give us a call and we would be more than please to send you one out.

Payment for 2010 shares will not be due until March 31, 2009.

WHAT IS A CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture,  or CSA, is an arrangement that provides a direct connection between consumers and a local farmer.  Participating supporters contribute to the farm’s yearly operating budget by purchasing in advance a share of the season’s harvest.  By making this commitment ahead of time, CSA participants join the farmer in assuming the costs, risks, and rewards of growing that season’s crops. Participants help pay for seeds, supplies, labour, water, equipment maintenance and other costs. In return, the farmer provides a weekly delivery of fresh, nutritious vegetables throughout the harvest season.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN A DELIVERY

One box is generally enough produce for two adults who eat an average amount of fresh vegetables. If you eat an above average amount of vegetable you may want to consider purchasing two shares.

We strive to provide an appealing and ample supply of vegetables each week, but since nature has no guarantees we cannot offer any either.

Contents vary week to week based on what is in season and is ready to harvest.

HOW DELIVERIES WORK

1) Boxes may be picked up directly from the farm on Wednesday between 4pm and 8pm.

2) Delivered directly to your home on Wednesday evenings for an additional charge of $5.00/wk.

YOU CAN BECOME A CSA PARTICIPANT

Each spring we will be inviting you and other community members to become participants of our CSA garden. There will be a set delivery day each week for the 20 weeks of planned harvest.

The cost of one share is $500.00 for the entire 20 week season.

Available shares are limited therefore we encourage you to contact us to reserve your share. Upon receiving your application we will contact you to verify your acceptance and discuss delivery details.

Should a share not be available for this growing season your name will be placed on a waiting list for the 2011 season. Remember our produce will also be available at the Kingston Farmers' Market.

Please fill out the following information and sign-up form to reserve your share or receive more information.

Produce boxes will not be supplied until payment has been received.
